Low Carb recipe #3: Spicy Mustard Short Ribs


Maybe you find yourself in a position where you're doing the cooking for a party, celebration or other festive...or maybe you just want some motherfudging ribs, because, screw other meals that are seemingly rabbit food. You want to spice up your life and others with something meaty (ha, innuendo gold right there!), then let em mouth water like a pornstar to this!

They'll love you. Of course, if you want this to yourself you could just chili the crustation out of it so non-tolerant chili guys a gals wouldn't steal yours and if they do, they can have a serious case of regret and chili anus in the morning. Onto the good stuff!

Low carb spicy mustard short ribs preparation for awesome:

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time: 2 1/2 hours

Servings: 6


  • 3 pounds pork ribs
  • 1/2 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 TBSP RAW honey (for you overly zealous low carbers out there, you don't necessarily need this, but dammit live a little it ain't going to kill you a horrible death).
  • 4 TBSP Dijon mustard (well, obviously need mustard)
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • salt, pepper to taste

How to make yourself some motherflocking spicy mustard ribs!!!

  1. Mix vinegar with honey, mustard, chili and olive oil. Add salt and pepper then brush the spare ribs with this mixture. If you don't have a brush then you can just evenly coat each side by dipping them in. Also, should be mentioned, don't use a paint brush use a damn food brush.
  2. Place them on a baking tray and bake them at 330F for 2 hours. Go train while waiting!
  3. Turn the heat on 375F and cook for 30 more minutes until golden brown. You aren't done training. Do some pushups! Earn those ribs!
  4. Serve them...to yourself..Eat them before someone else does!

Carbohydrates: 3.6g

That's all there is to it! Not too shabby! You are officially an expert on ribs. But now you have one problem. Your neighbours. You'll whip up something so simple so good you'll have to find a way to keep them from knocking on your door...or climbing over the fence.
