PALEO SLOW COOKER RECIPE: PORK SPARE RIBS

You can make spare ribs in the crockpot too. Actually, the result is beyond expectations with the meat literally falling off the bone and melting in your mouth bite after bite. The spices used balance the dish perfectly and due to that it can be used even for festive meals, impressing even the pickiest eaters.

Prep time: 20 minutes

Cook time: 9 hours

Servings: 10

Ingredients:

4 pounds pork ribs

½ cup white wine vinegar

½ cup water

2 tablespoons coconut aminos

2 tablespoons raw honey

1 teaspoon all spice

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt, pepper to taste

1 ½ cups tomato juice

Directions:

  1. Mix the white wine vinegar, water, raw honey, all spice, paprika, garlic and onion powder, salt and freshly ground pepper into a bowl.

  2. Brush the spare ribs with this mixture and place them all in your crockpot.

  3. Pour in the tomato juice and cook on low settings for 9 hours.

  4. Serve the ribs warm, with plenty of sauce.
