Low carb recipe: Spinach Tomato Quiche


It's poker night and you're going to have friends over, yet you had a busy day and just don't have a damned clue what to make, and the boys are hungry. You're cutting right now too, and you don't want to sound like the biggest anushole and tell all your friends "oh yeah, broccoli and chicken tonight, cause, yknw, cutting." That deserves a dislocated jaw. Thankfully, you got something good left over and you can warm it up for everyone! Spinach tomato quiche!


Of course, if these were your poker buddies, you'd more than likely get a knife or claw to the face. Jason doesn't agree with your broccoli and chicken, nor does Freddy.

Of course, promising a quiche, will also now be your excuse to take that awesome person you meet at a certain night back to your place.



Anyhow, on to how to make a low carb Spinach Tomato quiche shall we?

Stuff for the quiche!

Prep time: 20 minutes

Cook time: 40 minutes

Servings: 8

Ingredients for spinach tomato quiche:

Crust, holy crust:

  • 1 ½ cups almond flour
  • 4 tablespoons coconut flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pinch salt
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika


  • 6 egg
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, shredded
  • 2 bacon slices, chopped
  • 1 ripe tomato, diced
  • Salt, pepper to taste
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella or Cheddar

Making the Quiche, for the hungry beast:

  1. To make the crust, holy crust, combine all the ingredients in a food processor and pulse until well (or as I like to say, pulse the CRUST out of it!) combined. Transfer the mixture in a tart pan and press it well on the bottom and sides of the pan. Set aside that thing aside. How antisocial.

  2. Now for the filling! Beat the eggs well like you're in an MMA match, and with salt and pepper, because, kinky. Add the heavy cream then stir in the chopped bacon, tomato and spinach.

  3. Pour the mixture into the crust and top with grated cheese.

  4. Bake in the preheated oven at 350F for 40 minutes or until golden brown and set. Go jump rope for joy and make love to mother nature, push up style for 40 minutes. This is essential to the process.

  5. Serve it slightly warm or chilled.

Calories: 325

Fat: 26.6g

Protein: 16.2g

Carbohydrates: 8g

So there you go! Spinach Tomato Quiche to tame the hungry beast! Have fun playing poker and have fun with a new pick up line when trying to bring back someone to your place by the power of the quiche! Just be careful who invite over for your poker games and who you choose to talk to at a random club, bar, bus stop at night.
